Analyse quotes

How to use the Ptally quotes page: volume, latency, result and validity charts, filtering by project and version, searching quotes and opening a quote's full detail.

The Quotes page shows every live quote across your projects, with analytics at the top and the full list below. Dry runs are not saved, so they do not appear here.

The summary

The cards at the top show, for the current filters:

  • Quotes, the number of quotes;
  • Result, the average, median (P50) and 95th percentile (P95) price;
  • Validity rate, the share of quotes that were valid;
  • Latency percentiles, the average, P50 and P90 time taken to price a quote.

The chart

Choose what to plot with Count, Latency, Result or Validity, and check Errors for failed quotes. Choose the time range with Hour, Day, Week, Month or MTD (month to date).

Use the latency view to check response times, which matters for aggregator traffic.

The quotes chart switched to latency

  • All projects and All versions narrow the page to one project or one version. Filtering by version is a quick way to compare results before and after a rate change.
  • Search quote reference finds a single quote.
  • Since limits the list to quotes after a date and time.

The list shows each quote's reference, project, version, indicator, premium, validity, status and when it was created.

Open a quote

Click any row to open Quote detail. It shows the full stored quote, including the input that was sent and the output the model returned, and Copy JSON copies it. This is the place to start when a customer or broker queries a price.

From a project or version

Every project and version page also shows its quotes for the last 30 days. View quotes opens the quotes page already filtered to that project or version.
